Impact Austin Foundation Receives $10,000 MassMutual Grant to Promote Female Philanthropy
Grant Honors Volunteer Efforts of Austin Based Advisor, Sara Pantin
Austin, TX – Impact Austin Foundation, one of the largest women’s philanthropy groups in the nation, has received a $10,000 grant from Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual). Impact Austin is one of only seventeen organizations nationally to receive an award as part of a national Community Service Award (CSA) program. MassMutual made the grant as a tribute to the volunteer efforts of Sara Pantin, Managing Partner at Asset Strategies Group and financial advisor with MassMutual Southwest.
“Our Community Service Awards program aims to encourage and recognize those financial professionals who are active members of their community,” said Alison Mathias, MassMutual’s Director of Charitable Giving and Vice President of the MassMutual Foundation. “Sara’s volunteer work reflects our steadfast commitment to supporting organizations in the communities where MassMutual financial professionals live and work.”
Sara currently serves on the Board of Directors in the role of Secretary and sits on the Executive, Finance, Governance and Endowment Committees of Impact Austin. She has dedicated countless hours of her time and talent to help the Foundation grow and flourish. Her passion and advocacy for promoting female philanthropy inspires others to do the same. Under her leadership, Impact Austin created an Endowment to create a sustainable and permanent resource for the Austin community. In her servant leadership role, she has been recognized as a role model for women business owners who want to give back to the community in strategic ways.
“I am delighted that my work with Impact Austin has been recognized by MassMutual through their Community Service Award,” said Sara. “This grant will help Impact Austin members further our education toward reaching our full giving potential for a better quality of life in our local non-profit community.”
Impact Austin combines its members’ annual donations to give multiple high-impact grants each year to local nonprofits. Through grant making in the areas of culture, education, environment, family, and health and wellness, Impact Austin engages, develops and inspires women to effect positive change in the community.
