February 16, 2015 - Impact Through Involvement
Amplify Austin is 24 hours of giving, from 6pm Thursday, March 5th, to 6pm Friday, March 6th, 2015. In the past two years it has raised $8.5 million for the 500 non-profits that participated in the effort.
It is a great way for Impact Austin to raise much-needed funds to assure the continuation of our remarkable work of granting $5 million in the past twelve years. You have probably told your families and friends how important Impact Austin is to you over the years, but now is the time to ask them to support you with a donation to Impact Austin through Amplify Austin.
It's easy to do.
Just ask them to go to our Impact Austin profile page between 6pm March 5th and 6pm March 6th to make their donation.
And here’s the best news of all! The first $7,000 donated will be matched dollar-for-dollar, thanks to commitments already made by some of our generous members. Additional funds are available to Impact Austin through Amplify Austin’s booster program that applies to each hour of the campaign.
We have set a modest goal of $14,000, but we know our Impact Austin Philanthropists can crush it! It only takes each member investing an hour on March 5th to make calls to five to ten family members, friends, and colleagues.
Of course, if you want to have more fun, come to one of the many parties being hosted by members in their homes that night. We will send you the locations soon.

This is one more example of how our strong membership uses informed philanthropy to make an impact on the greater Austin community where it is most needed.
